THE LOTUS LOUNGE PRESENTS MARILYN: INTIMATE EXPOSURES, MAY 16-27

Marilyn: Intimate Exposures, by Susan Bernard is a lavishly illustrated volume celebrating Marilyn’s enduring beauty through photographs by the legendary Bernard of Hollywood. It tracks Norma Jean’s transformation into Marilyn and commemorates the 50 years since her passing.

The photos exhibited at The Lotus Lounge – Carlton Hotel during the Cannes Film Festival will include images from when Mr. Bernard first discovered Norma Jean in 1946, to his famous photo of her in 1954 standing over the subway grate in her billowing white skirt, which the New York Museum of Modern Art chose as the symbol of the century for their “Fame After Photography” exhibition and was displayed 60 feet high on the exterior wall of the museum.

Susan Bernard’s Marilyn: Intimate Exposures is receiving tremendous media attention in the U.S.. The French edition of the book will be published on May 10th and Susan Bernard will be an honored guest at a special launch party, photo exhibition and reading in Paris followed by a book signing May 18th at the distinguished Privat-Sorbonne bookshop in Cannes.
